BA1a: Character Research | Week 3

This week in character research we talked about very interesting and important things. First we received more advices about the essay, we should talk about the series or the movie where the character appears, who created the character, what is the animation style and how the character interact with other characters. Lynsey also said things that we shouldn't write in the essay, we have to be objective and formal. In that session we also learned more about the types of characters, like the hero, the herald, the shapeshifter. It was very interesting to learn more about the concept of "mise en scene" and what can the setting, lights, etc tell about a character. We approached a little bit more about the types of hero, which are the hero, the anti-hero and the tragic hero, and the qualities they must have. We also talked about the shadow type. At this point I already have two characters that I would like to talk about, one is one of the heroes of Gravity Falls and the other is the main villain of the same series.
